Pumpkinpaw looks over at Polarflight, then looks away, his tail swishing.

She flicked an ear and looked at Pumpkinpaw.

Pumpkinpaw twitched his whiskers. He had the urge to move around again. He looked over to Polarflight, his fur suddenly standing on end, surprised she was already looking at him. "Um..Polarflight, if there's nothing to do around camp, would you..um.." He blinks his eyes, becoming blank minded. What could the two of them do together..?

Polarflight saw the look on his face, and was close enough to feel his fur rise. Her whiskers switched wih amusement, but she was also glad for the reaction. "Actually, Foxwig and I were going to go hunting. You should join us, we're going to see which group can catch thr most prey." she watched him with deep blue eyes,

Pumpkinpaw takes a few steps back for a reasonable distance from the other cat. "U-uh..A-alright." He mewed quietly, half excited, half crestfallen.

Returning back from his hunt with a rather scrawny thrush and a small-sized rabbit, Coppertalon flicked his tail to the tom behind him, mewing, "Now all we have to do is wait for Spottedfur and Adderpaw to get back with their catches, and see who won, Maskflicker." He strode between the apprentice and the new warrior, placing his prey atop the pile, then gave Polarflight a nod. "You should get going on your hunt with Foxwing, Polarflight," he mewed in his cool, calm voice. "Wouldn't want to miss the beginning of your vigil now, would you?"

Polarflight stood up and blinked at Pumpkinpaw. She turned and nodded to her clan mate. "of course not! We'll be on our way." she made way for the moors, expecting Foxwing and Pumpkinpaw tO follow.

Adderpaw entered the camp, a plump squirrel and a medium sized mouse in her strong jaws.

With a loud yawn, Lightningheart gave the she-cat a sleepy look, shaking out his pelt in the process. He gave her a polite nod, then mewed, "That's quite the haul you have there."

Adderpaw dropped the fresh kill in the pile and smiled. "Yeah...you okay? You look really tired." she asked, frowning worriedly.

"Still tired from my vigil," he mewed, shaking his pelt again in an effort to wake himself up.

"That's what I did for most of yesterday," he mewed, letting him slouch slightly so that he was eye to eye with Adderpaw. "I swear, Echosong and Brighteye were about ready to chew my tail off when they saw I was still asleep at sun-high." the large brown tabby let out a short mrrow of laughter, adding, "I've never seen Brighteye annoyed before."

Adderpaw burst out laughing. "What're you talking about? You don't have a tail, mouse brain!" she said, giggling slightly. (which she never does.)

Giving her a sarcastic roll of the eyes, he then purred, "Fine. They were so mad, they were going to scratch my ears off." He then stuck his tongue out to the she-cat, mewing, "Better?"

Letting out another yawn, he flexed his shoulders, trying to get rid of what sleep that still plagued his muscles. The large warrior then looked shyly to his paws, and back up to the blue-eyed apprentice, mewing, "Do you think Brighteye would mind if I took you for a hunt?"

Adderpaw looked around throughly. "Nope, let's just try not to let her see us though." she grinned mischievously.

"She always seems to get up earlier than most cats," he purred with a nod to Adderpaw. He got to his paws, which felt less like stones, and could feel energy now pulsing in his muscles.

Adderpaw then frowned. "Are you tired?" she asked. "Maybe you should sleep and we could hunt another time..." she blushed when she noticed she was worrying too much.

With another shrug, he whispered teasingly, "We've all got to get used to sleeping less when were warriors. Now." The tom looked to the silent clearing, and nodded in the direction of the entrance. "Let's get going before someone finds out what we're doing!" Without a word, he then padded silently, waiting for the she-cat to join him.

Adderpaw was right behind him, a brilliant smile on her face. She didn't know why, but it just felt right to be beside him.

Together, through the frosty morning air, the duo made their way away from the camp. Lightningheart could feel Adderpaw's fur occasionally brush hers as they walked side-by-side, matched pawstep to pawstep. With a short-lived glance to the she-cat, the tom couldn't help but think of how brilliant her fur looked as the sun began to lazily drift into dawn. He let out a fake cough and looked away, then mewed, "Where do you think we should go? I think that the middle most part would be the best, because then we won't come across our own patrols."

Polarflight bound to the freshkill pile. She picked up a small mouse, then carried it back to the nursery.
