Boulder Pool

A pond towards the center of the territory where fish may be caught by a sharp-eyed warrior if they are lucky. It is surrounded by rocks, ferns, and red-leaved bushes. It is rumored that, seasons ago, this is the spot where Boulderstar, the very first leader and the founder of Boulder Clan, had died, and his blood stained the bushes that surrounded it red, staining the leaves red and causing them to grow red every year. This is also the spot where Patchstar comes to clear his mind.

Smokekit blinked, seeing slight movement out of the corner of her eye. "Huh." She thought, shrugging and turning away.

Brook let out a soft breath, accidently disturbing the leaves.

She jumped, turning back around. Maybe it was prey! Crouching down wobbily, she pounced into the area where she thought it was. Startled to see a cat, she shrieked and ran out of the trees back to the pool.

Brook also got a fright and let out a shriek, jumping into the nearest patch of brambles.

Stumpkit pushed Smokekit away from the pool. "Hawkclaw said we were supposed to get out." Hawkclaw stood up, momentarily taking his eyes off the kits,
"I'll be right back.." Stumpkit nodded, watching Hawkclaw pad over to the brambles, "Hello?"

Brook shook in terror and didn't answer the tom. Instead she tried to back away further into the brambles. Suddenly she let out a squeal as her pelt was caught on the thorns.

Hawkclaw bent down and parted the brambles, looking down a the cat, "Who are you?"

"I-I'm Brook." She stammered. "I heard cats talking about clans that lived in the forest and I want to join....but I guess I kind of got lost." Her ears flattened.

She watched HawkClaw, now wondering who that cat was.

He flattened his ears carefully, then looked back at the other kits, "I need to see what our leader thinks. I'll take you to our clan." He unstuck her from the brambles. Stumpkit squeaked excitedly, looking over at Smokekit,
"You think she'll join our clan?"

She blinked at the cat. "I... I don't know."

Brook stepped out of the brambles cautiously and followed the tom nervously.

She blinked, noticing that the cat was actually about the size of kit.

Stumpkit grinned excitedly, "She looks our age!"

She nods, not very frightened anymore. Smokekit was more curious. "Just about! Maybe... maybe she'll move into the nursery with us!" She whispers.

He giggled, nodding, "That'd be awesome!"

She smiled at the she-kit. Smokekit promised herself that she would apologize for scaring her later.

She glanced at the kits as she was walking and half smiled.

Hawkclaw looked down at the kits, "Let's go." He turned, waking away from the pool and back towards the camp. Stumpkit giggled excitedly, looking at Brook, "I'm Stumpkit!"

"I...I'm SmokeKit." Introducing herself, her voice seemed much quieter now. She padded along.

Hawkclaw looked back at the kit, smiling, "I'm Hawkclaw."

"Are there many cats in the clan?" She asked curiously, hoping they weren't all mean and vicious like in the stories she'd heard.

He shook his head, "We're a small clan. But most of the cats are friendly," He smiled warmly.

"Okay." She mewed. "I hope the leader lets me stay..."

"I'm sure she will," He smiled, nodding to himself. (To the camp?)
