Toxic Invasion

Toxin prowled low in LightningClan territory, feeling exposed and vulnerable in the open space. He had come in from the direction of the unclaimed forest, and being young and stupid, hadn't stopped to notice the Clan's border.

Tumblekit sniffed catching an unfamiliar scent. Timidly he scoots away from the smell deciding if he didn't acknowledge it that it would go away. He took the cowards approach to the situation as usual.

More alert in the unfamiliar territory, Toxin paused as he heard the soft sound of pawsteps (computer wants to replace that with Pasadena O.e) a short distance away. He headed towards the sound, tensed and ready to fight if need be.

The kit lays down pawing at a twig entertaining himself. He was used to entertaining himself since he spent most of his time alone. He preferred it that way sometimes. Then he wasn't made fun of for being a scardy cat, at least not to his face.

Toxin peeked through the long grass, seeing a stranger about his size playing by himself. He relaxed his guard, the other cat didn't seem to be a threat. "Hello," he said quietly, more timid than usual.

Tumblekit jumps at the sudden noise. He turns looking at the brown kit. He stares not saying anything not sure what he was supposed to do. This cat was definitely not part of the clan. He wonders if he should call for help but who would he call and who would listen. Pondering all this he just stares at the other kit.

"I'm Toxin," said the rogue. The stranger had an unusual scent, mixed with a few other cats, more than in a normal cat family. Disregarding this, he continued. "Who are you?"

"That isn't a clan kit name." he states taking a few steps backwards from the stranger ignoring his question or maybe forgetting about it. His whiskers twitch in confusion not sure what to do. "Why are you here?" the kit asks finally after a brief silence.

Toxin stepped back, taken off guard. "What is a Cl--" he started but stopped himself, he was supposed to know everything. "I came from that direction." He gestured with his tail towards unclaimed territories.

Tumblekit flicks his tail amused. "You don't know what a clan is? Everyone knows what a clan is." He looks off where his tail gestures. "You aren't allowed on our territory." he states watching the kit to see what he will do.

"Then I guess I just became no one," retorted Toxin, frustrated at the stranger's amusement. He stiffened at those last words, "I don't see anyone stopping me."

Tumblekit crinkles his nose in distaste. "So? You still aren't supposed to be here." he tilts his head confused wondering how someone stopping him would change the face you were or weren't allowed to be some place.

"Well, that doesn't mean I'm going to leave," said Toxin. Giving in to curiosity, he adds, "So what is a Clan?"

Tumblekit: "You are in the clan territory right now." he states getting bored of the conversation. "a clan is all the cats." she says as if it were obvious. He lays down going back to playing with his stick.

"I only see two cats here, and one of them isn't in a Clan," he pointed out.

Tumblekit: "You are just at the border." he sighs and teethes on the stick finished with the conversation, his attention span reaching it's limit.

"Oh." Toxin paused, walking forward a little. "Where else is there?"

Fernpaw padded into the area slowly, looking about. With a sigh she sniffned the air and stopped frowning.

Toxin glanced at Fernpaw, backing away from the larger cat. "Nevermind," he muttered. "There are three cats here."

Tumblekit pounces on the stick breaking it. He frowns nudging the two pieces around not sure what to do with them anymore.

Toxin looked at Tumblekit. He sat down. "You said this was just the border, how big is the Clan?"

Opens his mouth trying to speak around the twig in his mouth. "There is a camp, nursery, training hollow, dens, hunting territory.."

"Oh," Toxin looked down, feeling uncomfortable knowing so little. "And, how many cats there?"

A medium sized light brown she-cat padded up to the gathered kits. Her yellow eyes swept over them assessing the situation. "Tumblekit what in StarClans name is going on here." Wrenstar was worried for the kits. She knew how easy it would be for a kit to be swept away by a bird of prey

Toxin backed up, startled, and bared his teeth nervously.
