Magpiestar stood at the base of StreamClan's highrock. Its shadow sheltered her tired eyes and she shifted in the coolness, feeling tired. If only she had a Clanmate to share tongues with, things would be easier. It was supposed to be her Clan, StreamClan, that got all the fame but instead it was DuskClan that stood in the spotlight. Magpiestar shook her head, chasing the angry thought away. Her Clan would have it's time, she just had to watch . . . and wait.

Kinktail entered the camp, placed the fish onto the fresh-kill pile, and sat at the edge of camp. She started to groom her pelt, listening to the stream rush by.

Slateshard carried in a couple of fish to contribute to the fresh kill pile. He shook out his pelt once he put the prey down as his fur had been damp from fishing.

Jaguarpaw yawned widely, and stretched. He smirked at the abnormal number of claws on his paws. His father was the same way. His mind began to wonder to what the crazy old tom had been up to.
