Leo and Sunny

Leo stalked near DuskClan's border, hunting for food. He was hungry and tired. Leo was at his crankiest.

She yawned "Oh I am oh so very tired" She saw how hungry he was and knew he wouldn't take charity "I am suddenly not hungry but all this prey is begging to be eaten. Why don't you just catch some. I can eat what ever you don't" She curled up in a ball of silky fur and pretended to sleep

He rolled his eyes at the obvious lie. "Suit yourself." he shrugged and began hunting. He soon caught a sparrow and three mice.

She woke just after he was done and admired his catch. She thought how he would fit in with her clan prefectly with is hunting skills. She walked over to him. She sat so their fur almost brushed. "Wow. Very nice Leo"

"Thanks. I guess I went a little over board though..." he mumbled.

She shakes her head "No no Leo. It is just fine" She smiled "You get first pick" She nodded towards the pile

He took a mouse and left her to chose from the rest as he bit into his freshkill.

She jumped on the sparrow. They were her second favorite prey. She shoved most the feathers out of the way as she bit into it

Leo watched her eat with amusement. His amber eyes were no longer wary, but uncharacteristically soft.

She tired to ignore the warmth from knowing he was watching her and focus on her bird but it was hard Focus on the dang bird! she scolded her self

Leo licked his whiskers and buried the remains of the mouse.

She popped her head up "Leo bury that on the other side of the border. I don't want any patrols finding it incase you dont co-" She turned her gaze quickly to the bird again and started to nible at it "Just bury on the otherside of the border"

He nodded and unburied the remains, taking them across the border and burying them again.

She chewed on her bird but not really eating it waiting for him to return and asked him something.

He came back, sitting down to wait for her to finish her sparrow.

She quickly finished off the rest of the small bird and licked her chops. "Thank you Leo. You are a very good hunter" She said smiling

"Thanks for letting me hunt here." he replied.

She nodded to him "You know... You could hunt here everyday if you like... An- and I could.. I could come too" Sunglare mentally scolded her self for being so uncharacteristically shy

"That sounds nice, but wouldn't your Clan be angry if they found out that you're feeding me off their prey?" he asked.

She cringed "Very angry." She pawed at the ground. "But... they wouldn't if you... if you." She ran over the senaricos over her head. If he said yes to coming back her mother wouldn't be happy with her but would be happy at the new member and the possiblity... But if he said no...

"If I what?" he prompted, unusually patient.

"Well... You could come back with me... Mother wouldn't mind..."

He shuffled his paws, nervousness making him ask a stupid question. "Are there a lot of cats there?" he asked.

She held back a smile "Yes. But they are all different sorts of cats" She smiled encourgingly

He was silrnt for a long moment. "I'll check it out....but if any cat attacks me, I'll kill them without hesitation.." he said.

She let out a slight chuckle "I don't think anyone will attack you" She purred in her chest "If they attack you I will get to them first" She thought for a moment "There is this one cat who is kinda crazy... He may get in your face just to test you" She smiled brightly at Leo. His words finally setting in "So you will come? For sure?"
