The Stream

The stream that runs through StreamClan's territory is beautiful, especially during winter when air is icy and the stream finally turns to ice. During spring and summer, the stream is surrounded by the lush green trees and undergrowth.

Dustflight prowled through StreamClan territory, looking back and forth nervously, alert for a StreamClan patrol. He walked over to the stream, dipping his paws in it and shivering. It may be green-leaf, but the water was icy cold. He waded in deeper.

"Hisssssss!" Graypelt pounced on dustflight out of nowhere! "This is not your territory." she growled.

Dustflight twisted around, struggling to escape the StreamClan warrior's paws. He yowled in shock and surprise, kicking back against Graypelt's stomach and freeing himself, but the kick sent him sprawling fully into the river. He spat, letting the current carry him a few fox-lengths along before clambering onto shore.

Graypelt pinned Dustflight down again. "What are you doing trespassing in StreamClan territory?!"

Reading the she-cat's lips, Dustflight half-shouted: "Hunting! Fish!"

"Well do it somewhere else!!! If I see your face around here ever again, you'll be sorry!!!"
Graypelt got off of Dustflight and shouted, "GET OUT!!!"

Not understanding her exact words but getting the message, Dustflight nodded, eyes wide. "Very strong for an apprentice!" he thought he muttered, unaware that other cats could hear him.

Graypelt pounced on Dustflight once again. " How dare you call me an apprentice?!"

"Y-Young!" he stammered, taken by surprise. "You are very small!"

Graypelt sighed. "just go." she got off of Dustflight again.

A little more than slightly confused, Dustflight nodded thankfully, rushing in the direction of the BoulderClan boundary. . . . But not continuing into his Clan's territory.

Greypelt saw what was happening, crept up to Dustflight and pounced "again" on her. "come with me." she growled.

(. . . We need to have a little chat about the definition of "dead.")

Dustflight nodded, trembling slightly. He didn't struggle.

They walked to Fledglingstar.

Rainfrost trotted past, and glanced at the cats. She decided they must be handling it fine though, so she left it for them.

Emberglow quietly padded up to the stream, sniffing for herbs along the side.

VenomFang pads along the stream, and eventually sits down and looks at the water.

Ember glow spotted some dandelions and padded over to pick them. She pulled them out and looked around for more herbs.

VenomFang gets up and walks further down the stream, then sits again.

Emberglow spotted some hostage and pulled it out. Then, she picked up her bundles of herbs and quietly padded back to camp.
