*as ripple headed towards the unclaimed forest, he limped, his paw hurting badly.* *he finally got there.* "yes!" *he padded over to a tree that had a rather large hole in it.* *he sniffed inside it and smelling nothing but tree, he sighed in relief and limped over pulling moss and leaves to soften the hard roots of the tree.* *he dragged it over and pulled it into the hole.* * he then went inside and closed his eyes, falling asleep.*

*he blinked and turned his head.* "oh, no reason...." *he padded behind a tree and sniffed it before jumping back and shaking his head vigorously.* "mushrooms!"

"Mushrooms?" She frowned curiously.

*he nodded and pointed his nose to it.* "right there!" "blegh!" *he stepped away and sat down to lick his paw.* "i got a needle in the rump once because i ate one of those." "it hurt for almost a moon!"

She giggled, "oh, gross."

*he laughed slightly.* "yeah, it hurt it h-" *he stopped speaking and his nose twitched.* "d-did you hear that?"

she frowned, "No. Did you hear something?" She scented the air, cocking her head slightly.

*ripple shot up and pricked his nose onto the air.* "I smell... Fox.". (this is the fox part!)

(I assumed.)
Orange growled deep in her throat, stepping back, "We should get out of here.'

*ripplepaw turned, his tail flicking.* "yeah, it's coming closer." *as he began to walk behind orange he looked back.* "HSSSSS!!!" "THERE IT IS!" *the fox started running toward them, it's mouth drooling and it's eyes hungry and large.* (ripplepaw doesn't run really fast. :0)

She hissed nervously, turning around to hold her ground.

*ripple huffed slightly and unsheahed his claws growling deep in his throat.* *the fox lashed at them, scratching the bruise on ripples side.* * he yowled and jumped on the foxes back, biting at it rapidly.* *he turned to orange.* "orange, now!"

She blinked, her eyes wide and wild. She crouched down, backing up quickly, her fur fluffed up in terror

*ripplepaw's eyes widened.* "what are you doing?!" *the fox shook furiously, ripplepaw flying off his back and his body jamming into a tree.* "o-orange..." *his side and head bled, the blood trickling down onto the tree roots, staining them red.* *still he stood, seeing the fox staring hungrily at orange, he charged at the fox, scratching his side, then bit it's ear.* *the fox yelped and ran away, leaving ripplepaw in disarray.* *ripplepaw stared weakly at orange and collapsed his leg limp and bleeding*

Suddenly the trees begin to sway as the ground shakes violently. Dirt and rocks tumble towards the cats.

*ripplepaw struggled to stand, as he limped to a swaying tree.* * as,dirt covered his pelt, he looked around frantically, limping as hard as he can near orange.* "orange, come on!" *he shouted, beginning to limp away from, the splitting ground.*

Twig dashed by, eyed widened in fear and fur standing on end. Spotting Ripplepaw, he gasped and ran over. "What happened?! What's going on?!" He asked fearfully, trembling as he looked over him.

*ripplepaw weakly looked at him and gasped.* "a fox attacked us, and I chased it off."
*his eyes widened in fear as the tree parted from the ground.* "watch out!" *he limped away from the tree, looking back at twig.*

He gasped and started to run towards Ripplepaw, missing the tree by a tail length. Twig breathed deeply, looking back at the fallen tree.

*ripplepaw groaned slightly and hesitated to collapse as he looked at his broken leg* "we-we have to get out of here!" *the ground started to shake and crack a line going between twig and ripplepaw.*

He gasped, backing up from the split. "Run as far as you can from here, and just hope it will stop. I-I'll find you after this disaster thing is over!" Twig promised, dodging a fallen tree.

*ripple nods and turns, beginning to quickly limp away from the crack.* *but as he does, a tree parts from it's roots and ripplepaw looks up in terror.* *he manages to jumps, but the tree falls on his tail, leaving him yowling in pain.* *he digs his claws into the ground, hoping to pull himself out from underneath the heavy bark, but it's no use.* *as his muscles slowly begin to fall, he dosen't give up and weakly opens his mouth, his breath slowing.* "t- twig!" i- i need your help!"

Twig's ears prick from hearing his name. He bolts back to the area, staring at Ripplepaw in fear. He gulped, jumping onto a tree for a higher jump. Taking a deep breath, Twig released the power in his muscles and flew over to the other side with a slight stumble. Racing over to Ripplepaw, he gasped at what happened. "I-I'll try to move the tree. Wedging his paws under it, claws unsheathed, Twig heaved with all he might. It didn't budge. "The... the only way to move it is to push it off. But your tail... it would probably be gone." Twig blinked nervously.

*ripplepaw stared at the tree in fear and gasped.* "do- do it." *he squeezed his eyes shut in fear, wondering if he'll ever see his tail again.*

Twig held his breath, feeling terrible to do this kind of thing. Placing his paws onto the side of the tree, his gaze was strictly on Ripplepaw. "R-ready?" He meowed, gulping nervously.

*ripplepaw braced the ground with his claws and shut his eyes tighter.* "i'm ready."
