First topic message reminder :

"Let all cats old enough to climb trees gather under the Highrock!" Patchstar called, the ever familiar words ringing out clearly around the rocky clearing. The very few cats that resided in the rocky and bramble-enclosed dens slunk into the dimly lit clearing, chatting quietly to one another.

Morningtail looked up to the leader, narrowing his eyes slightly as he sat down next to Blackstripe. "What do you think he's going to announce?"

"Shh!" Seedwhisker mewed, chiding the younger tom and gave him a flick to his haunches with her tail. "Maybe if you kept your jaws shut, he would speak!" The hefty grey and black tom shot her a venomous look, but looked up to the awaiting Patchstar.

Seeing the small exchange between the two cats closer to the front, Patchstar cleared his throat. "Heavypaw, Bluepaw, and Fernpaw, please step forward. By naming apprentices we show that Boulder Clan will survive and remain
strong." The words clung in his throat, being so used to hearing Mothstar say these words made his stomach tighten slightly. "From this moment on, until he has earned his warrior
name, this apprentice will be know as Heavypaw. Sageheart,
you are now ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to heavypaw. Sageheart, you have shown yourself to be compassionate and a skilled hunter. I am sure you will pass on all you know to this apprentice." His gaze then turned to Bluepaw, giving her a curt nod. "By naming apprentices, we show that Boulder Clan will survive and remain strong. From this moment on until she has earned her warrior name, this apprentice will be known as Bluepaw." Pausing, his eyes scanned the clearing for the cat he had talked to before about mentoring her. "Blackstripe, you have shown yourself to be wise and strong in both skill and heart. I am sure you will pass on all you know to this apprentice."

Morningtail let out a gruff sigh, shaking out his fur as Patchstar's gaze passed over him to Seedwhisker.

"By naming apprentices we show that Boulder Clan will survive and remain
strong. From this moment on, until she has earned her warrior
name, this apprentice will be know as Fernpaw. Seedwhisker,
you are new to clan life and having the experience of learning beside your apprentice will help further strengthen your intelligence and heart. You will be mentor to Fernpaw and I am sure you will pass on all you know to this apprentice."

(Sorry if you were a mentor to one of these two, or that these aren't your mentors (if you were given one.) I just didn't know who, so spend what time you can now with these mentors, as I am going to name you soon!)

Feather turned away and started padding away. One of the only few times I offer my company and presence, yet it is ignored. She thought as she sat by herself, grooming her pelt.

Wildkit padded to sit next to her mother, knowing Heavygaze wanted to be alone.

Heavygaze glared at the sky, wondering if his mother was disappointed with him.

Feathermoon gazed at the moon, her blue eyes filled with longing and desire. Starclan, you're the only thing I have... The only thing. Are you enough? Are you enough company to last me my entire life? She shook her head dismissively. What was I thinking? There's no other Starclan in my life that can help me. She laid down and looked ahead moodily.

warrior name. Fernpaw, from now on you will be known as Fernmist.
Star Clan honors your courage and independence, and we welcome you as a
full member of Boulder Clan." The tom then rested his chin on the she-cats head, and waited for her to lick his shoulder.

With a purr as he backed onto the Highrock, he then yowled, "Bluefeather! Heavygaze! Fernmist!"

Enjoying the shouts from the cats around her, Bluefeather's chin was higher than ever, and her eyes shone with pride and joy. "See Heavygaze!" she purred, giving the tom a hearty nudge. "Told yah we'd be warriors!"

"Of course," the tom mewed, after the yowlings had settled down, "You have to have your silent vigils. Go eat and rest well, and report back here at sunset."

Jumping onto the Highrock, Patchstar called out, "Let all cats old enough to climb trees gather under the Highrock!" He let his ringed flick slightly as cats crawled from the dens or strode over to the Highrock.

Slinking from the apprentice den, the tom shook out the fur along his back. He held his head high, looking to Patchstar. Finally, I can start my training again and become a warrior in no time!

Lizardpaw must be finally getting back into training, Bluefeather thought happily. After getting the wound from the border scuffle with Lightning Clan, he had to stay in the medicine cat den because it had become terribly infected and it had made the stocky black tom sick. The lithe grey and white warrior felt badly for him, as she was two moons younger than him and was named a warrior before he had been.

Sageheart padded out of the warriors' den with a yawn and sat down at the edge of the crowd of BoulderClan cats, then looked up at Patchstar, waiting for him to speak again.

Heavygaze leaped off his boulder he was laying on. He looked up expectantly at Patchstar, knowing Lizardpaw would get to train once again.

Wildkit pranced out of the nursery, already the size of an apprentice. She smiled at every cat she passed, including Lizardpaw and eventually sat next to Heavygaze and her mother.

Giving Heavygaze a soft nuzzle, she mewed, "Lizardpaw is going to get a mentor finally!"

Looking to the gathered cats, the tom mewed, "Lizardpaw, it has been some time since you have trained. Sadly, in the time you have been sick, Hedgetail has left the clan. So, I now give you the new mentor of Wolfsoul." He looked to the black tom, his tail flicking. "Wolfsoul, Lizardpaw doesn't have that long to train until he becomes a warrior, but I know you can still teach him much in that time."

His odd-colored gaze searched for the black tom in the crowd, flexing his shoulders as he did. Let's get this over with so I can go do some more training!

Wolfsoul stood and padded over to the apprentice, his golden eyes warm. "I will teach him all I know." the well known tom promised.

Heavygaze smiled as he saw his strong father pad up to accept Lizardpaw as his apprentice.

Wildkit watched the scene with a mixture of envy and happiness for the cats.

Brindlestep sat just outside the elders' den, watching the apprentice with a smile.

The same height as the tom, Lizardpaw touched noses with him, then turned to the crowd of cats.

"Lizardpaw!" Bluefeather chanted, her eyes filled with happiness.

Seedwhisker echoed the cats' cheers for the tom, happy now that he could be a warrior sooner than everyone thought.

Sitting in the back of the crowd, Morningtail scoffed slightly, but said the apprentice's name with the rest of the cats none the less.

"Now," Patchstar mewed, looking through the crowd. "Bluefeather, Heavygaze, Sageheart, could you please take him for a quick practice to assess his skills? I have to talk to Wolfsoul yet about coming back and what happened while he was gone."

Getting to her paws, Bluefeather chirped, "Sure thing, Patchstar! We'll make sure that Lizardpaw knows what to do with his paws again!"

Heavygaze chuckled. "I'll shape him up for you, dad." he said to Wolfsoul.

Wolfsoul laughed. "I'm sure you will. Just don't be too harsh, son." he said seriously.

"Can't promise you anything." Heavygaze said with a shrug. "Let's get going."

"Can I go?" Wildkit asked her father hopefully.

"Sorry, Wildkit," he mewed, hopping down from the Highrock and giving his daughter's cheek a lick. "But I promise you, an apprentice ceremony is right around the corner for you." He then gave her a wink, nuzzling her ear, then looked to Wolfsoul, flicking an ear in the direction of his den.

Looking to the cats he would practice with, he studied how they moved. Heavygaze would have strong attacks, but doesn't look like he could match Bluefeather's or Sageheart's speed. Bluefeather's going to be a challenge; strong and speedy, and I doubt she would back down so easily. His eyes then passed over Sageheart, and he exhaled slightly. But Sageheart... I'm not sure about her. it looks like the strength is there, but..

"Come on, slow slug!" Bluefeather teased, shaking the black tom from his thoughts. She didn't like the way his amber and blue eyes had studied her, feeling awkward. "Are we training you or what?"

"Coming," he grunted, as he padded up to them. "This is going to be pleasing."

Heavygaze snorted and lead the cats out of camp.

Wolfsoul nodded and padded toward Patchstar's den.

Wildkit smilde, disappointment in her dark green eyes. "Alright..."

Wolfsoul gave the she-cat and comforting nudge as he padded past her.

Sageheart followed the other warriors and the apprentice out of the camp. She flicked her tail impatiently.

Bluefeather, tail in the air, follows along behind Heavygaze, giving him a nudge as she trotted beside him.

The stocky apprentice decided to bring up the back of the patrol, thinking more of ways to attack and defend himself from possible attacks.

Heavygaze kept his golden eyes trained ahead of him, his tail brushing against Bluefeather's every now and then.

Fernmist watched them go sadly. " Patchstar anything I can do?" asked the young warrior.

Backing the few pawsteps out of his den, Patchstar looked to the warrior, and mewed, "Flashfire had sorted out the patrols. Find out which one you're on, and if you have free time, take someone for a hunt."
