I hurt for them, but they musnt know,

Ill keep watch over them as an angel,
And I refuse to watch them strangle,
But the truth disturbs me now,
I want to save them but dont know how.

Ive been away, so far away,
Quietly in my own mind,
And I will break,
From the weight of my mistakes,
But my body matters no more.

All that matters is the world inside,
And what goes on inside my mind,
Songs and words dancing along,
Who cares what happens in the outside world?
Not me, not anymore, never again.

My shell moves clumsily along,
But what matters is the lush growth,
That pushes into my mind every second,
Daydreams take over,
And Im in my paradise.

No, the outside world is just too cold,
For my taste and for my heart,
So Ill hide away within my mind,
My paradise, oh its all my own,
I call goodbye to what hurts me most.

Its not the person that matters,
Its their hopes and dreams,
Who they are,
What they make of themselves.
So when you take that away,
What do they become?
Nothing, absolutely nothing,
A shell without a soul.
Maybe they can come back,
Maybe they cant,
So now I ask you,
When you attempted to crush my dreams,
And they cracked under the pressure,
What did you think would happen?

Its nearly been 15 years now,
15 years of forgiveness.

I call goodbye to what hurts me... I like the ending, but I would say, "I call goodbye to what hurts me most." :) Just a suggestion!

These are the dreams worth dreaming,
These or the things that must have meaning,
The reasons I stand here in front of you today,
And the reason I chose to stay.

These are the days we choose not to cry,
These are the times we choose not to lie.
For in a time when the day is dark,
We choose instead to open our hearts,

These are the people that make life great,
These are the people that deserve our faith,
They are the ones who keep us alive,
And give us the strength to survive.

These are the people that make life worth living,
These are the people that make it worth the forgiving.
In a world these people are so rare,
The type of people who actually care.

She cares not for the happenings of this world,
For she has become the wordless girl.

What happens to you, what happens to me,
Thats just how its supposed to be.

Is there reason is there faith?
Or why that she has chosen to stay?

For theres no one in this life who wishes to care,
Does the wordless girl belong here, or anywhere?

She walks along never expressing a thought nor feeling,
For her life no longer has meaning.

She walks this life in a useless world,
She has become the wordless girl.


(Not written so much for me, though I admit I have expressed such thoughts. But this was actually written for someone else. They will never see this. It was actually an accident, I wrote the words "wordless girl" in a poem that I never finished, and it just sounded too good to ignore.)

All I want is for you to understand,
But I dont think you really can,
All youve ever done is messed it all up,
And Ive just...had enough.

Its obvious you just arent listening,
Cause for all this time Ive been missing,
Dont you remember who I was before,
Before I couldnt take it anymore?

I was different, happy and care free,
But thats just what I used to be,
I was your perfect little daughter,
But shes been long gone, slaughtered.

Youre the one who killed her,
Shes long gone, forever,
Im sick of being only what you want,
Thats all over, Im done.

You told me to come to you for anything,
But when I do you tell me to stop complaining,
The funny thing is my friends know me better than you do,
Makes it that much easier to forget you.

Did you know they can look at the words that I wrote,
And it would take them only a moment to know,
How I felt and if there was something wrong?
While you didnt know they knew all along.

This picture is just so messed up,
Wheres your forgiveness wheres your love?
If you would stop and think of someone else for once...
Never mind, do what you want, Im done.

Its funny how you think life is beautiful,
But you look in the mirror and dont see how beautiful you are,
Youve always been like that, always so unforgiving to yourself,
And well all see it, your the only one who doesnt,
And I just, want to make you understand,
You were my best friend, the person who could do anything,
But youre throwing it all away,
Just because you dont know how amazing you are.

Come and run tonight, tonight,
And watch as the crows take flight,
Let leave before you have to meet the day,
Forgetting the words you forgot to say.

Run through the forest keeping alone,
Because this is now what you call home,
Not to deal with those of a past long gone,
Dont worry about all the things youve done wrong.

This ending was inevitable and long expected,
All your dreams have been taken,
In trade for the freedom you so longed for,
But is it that you may possibly wanted more?

You have nothing, you live alone,
In a forest you call home,
For you will never wake to meet the day,
And live in the dreams of yesterday.


(If you cant tell, its a poem about someone who died. Of course, it could have several meanings.)

Cursed hearts meant to bleed,
Keep us down unable to breathe,
Alone in our hearts alone in our minds,
No one to share the pain inside.

Seeking understanding giving none of our own,
Leaving each other in the world, alone.
Pretending that we are the kinder souls,
Leaving our companions to burn on the coals.

I write these words now in confusion,
As I watch my comrades scream in unison,
Wishing to help but I realize,
My only concern is my pain inside.

I love it. Captures feeling so many of us feel in those selfish moments. :3

Surrounded by people,
They try not to judge,
They try to understand,
But sometimes they says things,
Without ever really knowing,
Where I come from, What I lived through,
What I forced my self into.
Sometimes I wait,
Watching their eyes,
And I think they get,
That what was said,
Had some sort of connection,
To my days gone by.
My eyes plead and cry out,
"I only want you to understand,
Why I get so upset,
Why I do such stupid things."
But they dont mention it,
And what we thought we saw,
Was only an illusion.
The moment has passed,
Its too late to mention it now,
So Ill wait for the moment again,
Maybe I can explain what went wrong,
Yes, when the moment comes again.

Whispers, whispers in the dark,
Echo quietly in our hearts,
Washed in sadness, washed in sin,
Thinking on of what could have been.

Taking all that you may take,
Fill the world with your hate,
Withering away all to nothing,
Broken futures soon be coming.

Speaking out

Could I speak out,
Should I speak now?
Would everything be ok?
Would I anger you with what I say?
Would you try to understand,
Or take the feed, bite the hand?
Would you stop and try to listen?
Or would I wake with you missing?
Why so many questions that need to be asked?
Should I choose to speak at last?
