"Blacktooth!" A dark gray tom growled. His gray fur almost black in the
dawn light. His pale green eyes flashed with hostility as he stared down
at a black tom from the top of a grassy hill. "Murderer!" He hissed,
claws unsheathing. The storm clouds over head flashed with lightning and
the air vibrated with the boom of thunder.
The rain fell,
softly at first but now violently. In the clearing below stood a
multitude of cats. One in particular stared up at the enraged tom, a
frightening smirk on his face. His yellow eyes reflected with the
lightning, giving him a spooky appearance.
The other cats
in the clearing, all drenched now by the rain, flattened their ears with
teeth bared. They dug their claws into the wet earth, as if wishing it
were the black cats pelt. Fur bristling in rage the tom on the hilltop
hurled himself at the crazed black cat, Blacktooth.
"WindClan no longer welcomes you!" He screeched madly and barreled into Blacktooth.
Laughing maniacally, Blacktooth rolled onto his back, digging
his hind-claws into his foes rib cage and pushing up with all his
might. He tossed the gray tom over his head, sending him crashing into
the ground.
"Ashstar!" Several cats wailed at one as
Ashstar's agonizing scream aplit the air. A light gray tabby tom yowled,
leaping onto Blacktooth and shreading his ear.
Still laughing, Blacktooth lifted himself onto his hind paws and flung the small tom away.
The cats in the clearing now swarmed forward, eyes wide with
rage, they aimed for attack, but Blacktooth saw a gap in the crowd. He
darted towards the small gap, in between a dusty brown apprentice and a
sluggish warrior. Using the stealth and speed of a pure-blood WindClan
warrior, he slipped right through, his grin still wild, and ran off with
his laughter stilling the night.
"Catch him! Go!"
Several cats flooded up the slope, their drenched fur making them dark
streaks on the hill-side, and dissapeared in pursuit of Blacktooh.
"What will you do to him?" A young she-cat mewed as she
helped her leader up. The other warriors set up sentries around the
camp, immediately taking action, and watched for the crazed killer. With
cats on either side of him, Ashstar limped to the medicine den.
"StarClan will decide, wen I'm done with him, what really
happens." Ashstar narrowed his eyes, anger seething through every word.
The light gray apprentice sat at the medicine den entrance, the one who bravely leaped on Blacktooth.
"Come in, Silverpaw, let me see to you." the medicine cat glanced at the apprentice, then stared at Ashstar.
"You wouldn't kill your own brother?-" Interupting the
medicine cats words was a white she-cat who burst into the den, her eyes
were wide.
"Blacktooth has been spotted at the ThunderClan border!" She stared at Ashstar, sides heaving.
That fast? Our warriors must be running hard. The medicine cat thought.
Ashstar's eyes reflected nothing but hatred. "He's no
brother of mind. Kill him on sight!" He bared his teeth, a loud growl
rippling from his throat.
