Magpiestar stood at the base of StreamClan's highrock. Its shadow sheltered her tired eyes and she shifted in the coolness, feeling tired. If only she had a Clanmate to share tongues with, things would be easier. It was supposed to be her Clan, StreamClan, that got all the fame but instead it was DuskClan that stood in the spotlight. Magpiestar shook her head, chasing the angry thought away. Her Clan would have it's time, she just had to watch . . . and wait.

Magpiestar got up hastily, shaking her pelt free of tiny scraps of moss. "It's fine," she mewed. "I'm just worried, DuskClan has so many more members than us. I dread the next gathering, when the others will see how few we are."
