Wolf's Stroll.

A handsome and muscular tom padded by, his long-haired brown tabby pelt shining in the sunlight. His amber eyes darted from one side to the other, flickering apprehensively.

He glances at her suspiciously and shivered. "No." He meowed in a tiny voice.

"Alright...hmm..." she thought of a way to cool him down.

He twitched his tail, glancing at it awkwardly. "I don't need your help."

"Okay." she whispered, a bit hurt. Her face fell in sudden sadness.

Wolf took a quick glance at her and patted her shoulder with his tail awkwardly. "Uhm... I'm sorry if that sounded harsh." He mewed, shuffling his paws.

"No, that's okay." she smiled.

He let out a sigh. "You're such a nice she-cat. How come you aren't in the clans? There are plenty of cats there for you to choose."

"Thanks...I was never really meant for Clan life. Large amounts of cats make me nervous." she confessed sheepishly.

"I see." He meowed in a friendly tone, his bad mood changing again.

"What about you?" she asked.

"After my journey, my friends separated into different clans. I wanted to go with them, but clan life wasn't for me either." he meowed.

Angel nodded in understanding.

Wolf got up again as he remembered that day with his dying mother. His gaze became even more sad with desire and longing when he remembered the pure white she-cat with terrified midnight blue eyes, cowering in front of the badger.

"So, what do you wanna do?" Angel asked.

He flicked away a tear that had trailed down his cheek. "I don't want to be friends." He whispered.

"W-what?" Angel's gaze filled with hurt and surprised. "Why?" she asked, tears in her eyes.

"It's nothing about you." He meowed, looking away.

"Then why don't you want to be my friend?" she demanded, irritated now.

"Because of a really bad memory." He meowed with a slight growl.

Angel's expression twisted in confusion, her head cocking to the side cutely.

He looked at his paws to avoid looking at her. "I'm sorry. I'm afraid that you might get hurt."

She laughed softly and nudged him. "I get hurt pretty much on a daily basis, Wolf!"

He snickered. "I don't see any wounds."

She shrugged and showed him the scars on her forepaws and belly. "Let's just say I've been in a few fights." she winked.

Wolf blushed again. This she-cat was getting to him. "That must have stung." He remarked with a smirk.
